o HELP NEEDED: “Blessings in a Backpack”. We meet once a month, every third Thursday, to pack food for Citrus County Blessings. It only takes one half hour of you time, and the rewards are amazing. We pack 90 bags (more or less) for the students at Homosassa Elementary. Please contact Vicki Leitzinger 382-2906 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to join us.
o H U R R Y – ONLY A FEW SEATS LEFT: Come enjoy the fun as we travel by bus to the Hard Rock Casino. October 29, 2014, 8:30 a.m. Location: Walgreens. $25 (Includes Bus Driver Tip). Return at 6p.m. (Leave Casino @ 4 p.m.). Contact Brenda Hugo at 352-503-9797. Open to public, WSM family & friends. The deadline for reservations is October 26. Be at the parking lot at 8:10 a.m. to ensure we can depart promptly at 8:30 a.m.
o Annual Craft Day at Leitzingers’ - November 8 - Come help to make beautiful wreaths and center pieces for the December Luncheon auction! 1:00—4:00 P.M. at 1 Palm Grass Court. We will be gathering to make items to sell at the Chinese Auction at the December Luncheon. We will need the following: scissors, wire cutters, Christmas products such as wreaths, trees, flowers, greens, wire, ribbons, moss, and foam for designing. The Leitzinger well of products has run dry! You can either bring money to buy new materials or you can bring your own supplies. We appreciate your help and this is a wonderful opportunity to meet and share ideas with other club members who also enjoy crafts. Join us! We have a great time and we need lots of crafts for the Christmas Luncheon.
o CHANGE NOTICE: Our Holiday Tour of Homes date has been changed to accommodate a few of our homeowners who were willing to show their homes but could not do it on December 6th. We have moved it to Sunday, December 7th. We now have tickets on sale for the tour ($15 per person) and this year we have 6 homes including our own Santa & Mrs. Clause (Leitzinger). Each one of the homes will take your breath away. Refer to Nov newsletter for more information.
o SCROOGE AND BOB CRATCHET have invited us to attend “A Christmas Carol” to get us into the true spirit of Christmas. DATE: Thursday, Dec. 18, PLACE: The Show Palace, TIME: 11:30 a.m. COST: $49.50 includes tip. Buffet-style lunch. The seating is limited to 24 guests so be sure to make your reservation as soon as possible. . PLEASE NOTE: NO TRANSPORTATION will be provided; carpooling is encouraged.
